Finally, there are two USB 3.2 Type-A ports for hitching up peripherals. This is the first dock I’ve reviewed with a high-speed Ethernet port that can seriously speed up file transfers over a local network. Next up, there’s a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port. Using the HDMI port and Thunderbolt, the dock can drive up to two 4K displays or a single 8K screen. Next is a Kensington Lock slot to ensure no one walks off with your dock.Īt the back of the Thunderbolt Go Dock are a couple of Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports, plus an HDMI video output for driving a display up to a respectable 8K resolution. On the right side of the dock, OWC has provided a USB Type C port with 90W PD that can power or charge a laptop and transfer all the signals from the host computer. There is a USB 2 (Type A) port on the front for legacy peripherals, plus a USB 3.2 Type-C port with a 10Gbps data transfer rate. Ranged along the front of the Thunderbolt Go Dock are an SD card slot and a 3.5mm combi audio port for headphones or a headset. The elegant OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock looks elegant and feels beautifully made.
